SUNSET CLIFFS

GOLDEN BEACH COWGIRL

These first images set the stage for a western-inspired sunset shoot.

This session was one for the books! Mira and I shot for hours, capturing a massive collection of incredibly beautiful images. In this first series, shown below in black and white, I really love their nostalgic and timeless quality. Something is especially striking with its almost inversion of a silhouette. The high contrast draws you in— with a dark background framing her figure, which seems to glow in the sunlight.

Each photo makes the glow of sunset feel alive, almost as if Mira could play with light itself.

In these next images, we leaned into the golden warmth of the setting sun, capturing Mira’s silhouette framed by stunning beams of backlit light. As the warmth of the golden hour wraps around her, the sun’s rays seem as real as her presence, wrapping each frame in a radiant yet serene contrast.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, its fading light lent itself to the softest set of images of the shoot. A delicate haze lies over these portraits, giving them a quiet beauty that feels almost dreamlike.

Here, the images take on a more posed, magazine-quality allure, inviting you to appreciate the interplay of color and style.

This next collection showcases a more refined monochromatic palette that emphasizes color harmony. The warm earthy tones of Mira’s hat resonate with the rugged cliffs, while the denim jacket echoes the cool hues of the sky.

As the blue hour enveloped us, we introduced flash to create a stunning contrast in this last set of images. The result is a collection that feels both clean and crisp, with muted tones that reflect the tranquility of the moment.
